Dear Friends We invite you to join us for the Annual Women Running Wild,5K Run Walk. For over 10 years this event is about participation, education and motivation while having a great time. We are very excited the Jody Klein Breast Cancer Fund has been created in memory of event director Greg Klein's sister. This fund provides money for groups that work on breast cancer causes, such as Cuty of Hope. Bring a friend or two and run, walk or stroll. Do it for yourself and do it in support or memory of someone you know and love. Either way we will be at the finish line to greet you with a smile. Completing a 5 kilometers (3.1 miles) is a great accomplishment. We know you can do it. See you at the finish line. Event Directors Walk and run in support or in memory of someone you love. Far too many people have been touched by breast cancer. This year, Women Running Wild would like you to run or walk for those you love who are fighting breast cancer and in memory of those who have lost their battle with this disease. We will have special bibs to write their names on and wear during the race so everyone will know of their courage and sacrifice. Course: The 5K run and walk starts and finishes at the beautiful Ruth Hardy Park in Palm Springs. The course is flat and goes through the famous movie colony neighborhood. We will also have our "Special Balloon" release at the event that pays tribute to those touched by this disease. Directions to Ruth Hardy Park: From Interstate 10 east take Hwy. 111 exit into Palm Springs, approximately 11 miles, turn left on Tachevah to Avenida Caballeros. From Interstate 10 west exit at Ramon Road, turn left and go approximately 7 miles to Sunrise Way, turn right and go to Tachevah and turn left to Avenida Caballeros. From Palm Canyon or Indian Canyon take Tachevah east to Avenedia Caballeros. Bring the kids and the entire family: This is a great event for kids. Our age groups start at 6 and under and we have stroller and baby jogger divisions. Ruth Hardy Park offers swings, slides and other facilities for the kids. Women Running Wild Entry Form "Confirmation e-mail will be sent to all participants two weeks before the event."
DIVISIONS
Five year age divisions from 6 & Under to 80+. Awards three deep in each category for women and men. BABY JOGGER DIVISION: - For the baby who likes the wind blowing through their diaper. STROLLER STROLL DIVISION - For the baby who is not in a hurry to get anywhere. DOGGIE DASH DIVISION - Small dog 20 pounds and under; Large dog 21 pounds or over Run or Walk with your best pet friend. Even your dog gets an award. PREGNANT WOMEN DIVISION - Glow as you go.
